Rondane Turistveg

"Sollia - Atnbrua - Atndalen - Folldal"

About the tourist route

Additional Info

The national tourist route of Rondane is a hidden pearl between Norway’s oldest national park, Rondane, and the western mountains of Alvdal. The road follows the Atna watercourse form Sollia, through the Atnavalley to Folldal. Along the route you will find the blue mountains of Rondane as a spectacular view to the west.

This stretch of road along the Rv 27 is due to the stunning nature chosen to be one of 18 National Tourist Roads in Norway. Along the route, beautiful viewpoints and rest areas have been specially designed for you to enjoy the nature around you. The great painter, Harald Sohlberg, spent many years of his life in these surroundings, painting Norway’s National treasure, “Winternight in Rondane”. Enjoy the spectacular view for Sohlbergplassen, a monument by it self.
You can easily get here from east, west, north and south and the route is suitable both for scenic drives and as an exciting holiday.

Relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, explore the mountains from horseback or a dog sledge, go on an adventure hike between the remains of stone age reindeer traps or go fishing in crystal clear rivers and lakes. Peaks of more than 2000m above sea level awaits you!

Welcome to The Blue Mountains!
